Hay delivery upsets the whole day in dog heaven
You know, when you have dogs on your property and a delivery is going to be made, in this case, hay for the horses, you need to round up the dogs, and keep them in... but then the delivery never show up,, or any time, waiting throughout the day... and... the dogs all 4 of them stay in. Now this only happens once every 6 weeks or so, but even so it is a real pain... But all went well, horses are happy, dogs too , and I can allow my giant tortoises out again to roam about.
Oh just found this photo... up in the Estern Sierra Mountains in California... about 11,000 feet elevation.. a day hike...

The Hunting dog blog
So some bits about who I am.. My name is Lizzie and I live in California ..obviously I love hunting dogs, actually all animals..this is a rundown of who lives with me: 4 dogs 2 horses 1 brave cat, 3 tortoises and 6 chickens. Also a compromising husband and children. He works in the film and television industry in the USA.
I am a nurse, postpartum (maternity) and new-born nursery(babies), part time, which gives me time to work with the dogs and horses. I train jumpers with my 2 horses and compete in horse show events.
We have always had dogs, but about 6 years ago, we acquired our first Pointer... a Vizsla , we named Abby, and now we are hooked. Peaches joined the family 2 years ago. They both hunt upland game in season and compete in AKC events.
I have had smart dogs in my day, but not with the intelligence and grace of the Hungarian Vizsla. While I personally, have difficulties with the concept of hunting, you have to admire the passion, commitment and teamwork felt by all hunters working with their dogs.
As my wise husband states.."if you are putting chicken(fowl) on the dinner table, what is the difference, if it came from the market, or I bring home fresh".. he has a point... So I support the dogs.
Have you ever seen a hunting dog hunt? Point? Retrieve? It is amazing to watch these dogs perform what they are bred to do, what's in their genes. This is the real beauty of hunting dogs, they LOVE what they do, it is their job, it is in their soul, their essence. The added bonus is they also are wonderful devoted pets, the all-around family dog.
So I thought why not share the versatility of these sporting dogs. These dogs are capable of so much, just love them back.
